4 Nicodemo gli disse: Come può un uomo nascere quand’è vecchio?
4 Nicodemus replied, how can a man be born when he is old?
Andando via di là, Gesù vide un uomo, seduto al banco delle imposte, chiamato Matteo, e gli disse: «Seguimi.
And as Jesus passed by from thence, he saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, Follow me.
Ed egli venne a prostrarsi davanti al re Salomone; e Salomone gli disse: ‘Vattene a casa tua’.
And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to your house.
Gli disse suo padre Isacco: «Chi sei tu?.
And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou?
Egli incontrò per primo suo fratello Simone, e gli disse: «Abbiamo trovato il Messia (che significa il Cristo)
He first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messias (which being interpreted is Christ).
E il figliuolo gli disse: Padre, ho peccato contro il cielo e contro te; non son più degno d’esser chiamato tuo figliuolo.
“And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Di nuovo il sommo sacerdote lo interrogò e gli disse: «Sei tu il Cristo, il Figlio del Benedetto?
Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
21 Allora Pietro gli si avvicinò e gli disse: «Signore, quante volte dovrò perdonare al mio fratello, se pecca contro di me?

Allora il sommo sacerdote gli disse: «Ti scongiuro, per il Dio vivente, di dirci se sei tu il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio.
And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you be the Christ, the Son of God.
Poi gli disse: «In verità, in verità vi dico: vedrete il cielo aperto e gli angeli di Dio salire e scendere sul Figlio dell'uomo.
And he said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the Angels of God ascending and descending over the Son of man.”
Ed egli salì ad Elia, e venne, e s’inginocchiò davanti a lui, e lo supplicò, e gli disse: Uomo di Dio, sia, ti prego, la vita mia, e la vita di questi cinquanta tuoi servitori, preziosa davanti agli occhi tuoi.
When the third captain of fifty went up, he came and bowed down on his knees before Elijah, and begged him and said to him, “O man of God, please let my life and the lives of these fifty servants of yours be precious in your sight.
E il sommo sacerdote gli disse: «Ti scongiuro per il Dio vivente di dirci se tu sei il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio.
answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
27 Ella gli disse: «Sì, Signore, io credo che tu sei il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio che doveva venire nel mondo.
27 "Yes, Lord, " she told him, "I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."
3 Il tentatore allora gli si accostò e gli disse: «Se sei Figlio di Dio, dì che questi sassi diventino pane.
And the tempter coming said to him: If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Gesù gli disse: «“Ama il Signore Dio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima e con tutta la tua mente”.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Rivoltosi al secondo, gli disse lo stesso.
He came to the second, and said likewise.
50 Gesù rispose e gli disse: Perché t’ho detto che t’avevo visto sotto il fico, tu credi?
50 Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe?
Questo gli disse per indicare con quale morte egli avrebbe glorificato Dio.
Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God.
Filippo incontrò Natanaèle e gli disse: «Abbiamo trovato colui del quale hanno scritto Mosè nella Legge e i Profeti, Gesù, figlio di Giuseppe di Nazaret.
Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus, son of Joseph, from Nazareth."
21 Gesù gli disse: «Se vuoi essere perfetto, va’, vendi ciò che hai e dàllo ai poveri, e avrai un tesoro nei cieli; poi, vieni e seguimi.
21 Jesus said, 'If you wish to be perfect, go and sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.'
Essa, pensando che fosse il custode del giardino, gli disse: «Signore, se l'hai portato via tu, dimmi dove lo hai posto e io andrò a prenderlo.
Supposing him to be the gardener, she said, 'Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and remove him.'
3 Il diavolo gli disse: «Se tu sei Figlio di Dio, di’ a questa pietra che diventi pane.

E quello gli disse: Uomo di Dio, il re ha detto che tu scenda.
He said to him, “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’”
41 Egli pel primo trovò il proprio fratello Simone e gli disse: Abbiam trovato il Messia (che, interpretato, vuol dire: Cristo); e lo menò da Gesù.
41 He first findeth his brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messias, [the meaning of which is the Christ] [the anointed] 42 and brought him to Jesus.
Ed egli entrò da lui, e gli disse: Vi erano due uomini in una città, l’uno ricco, e l’altro povero.
And he came to him, and said to him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
Poi gli disse: Mettiti il mantello, e seguimi.
And he said unto him, Wrap thyself in thy mantle, and follow me.
6 Venne dunque a Simon Pietro, il quale gli disse: Tu, Signore, lavare i piedi a me?
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
8 Filippo gli disse: Signore, mostraci il Padre, e ciò ci basta.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
45 Filippo trovò Natanaele, e gli disse: Abbiam trovato colui del quale hanno scritto Mosè nella legge, ed i profeti: Gesù figliuolo di Giuseppe, da Nazaret.
45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found the one whom Moses wrote about in the law, and the prophets wrote about—Jesus son of Joseph from Nazareth!"
65 Allora alcuni cominciarono a sputargli addosso, a coprirgli il volto, a schiaffeggiarlo e a scaldarsi, lo fissò e gli disse: «Anche tu eri con il Nazareno, con Gesù.
65 And some began to spit upon him, and cover up his face, and buffet him, and say to him, Prophesy; and the officers struck him with the palms of their hands.
Il Signore parlò a Mosè e gli disse:
And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
Ed egli parlò ad Elia, e gli disse: Uomo di Dio, così ha detto il re: Scendi prestamente.
And he answered and said to him, “O man of God, thus says the king, ‘Come down quickly.’”
21 Gesù gli disse: Se tu vuoi esser perfetto, va’, vendi ciò che tu hai, e donalo a’ poveri, e tu avrai un tesoro nel cielo; poi vieni, e seguitami.
19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Gesù rispose, e gli disse: Avanti che Filippo ti chiamasse, quando tu eri sotto il fico, io ti vedeva.
Jesus answered and said to him, Before that Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.
25 La donna gli disse: Io so che il Messia, il quale è chiamato Cristo, ha da venire; quando egli sarà venuto, ci annunzierà ogni cosa.
25 The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all things."
Gli disse allora Pilato: «Non mi parli?
So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me?
Ella, pensando che fosse l’ortolano, gli disse: Signore, se tu l’hai portato via, dimmi dove l’hai posto, e io lo prenderò.
She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away."
Ora c'era a Damasco un discepolo di nome Anania e il Signore in una visione gli disse: «Anania!.
¶ Now there was in Damascus a disciple named Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias.
Allora il sommo sacerdote gli disse: «Ti scongiuro, per il Dio vivente, perché ci dica se tu sei il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio.
And the high priest said to him, I put you on oath, by the living God, that you will say to us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.
3 E il tentatore, avvicinatosi, gli disse: «Se tu sei Figlio di Dio, ordina che queste pietre diventino pani.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
